Copper Mountain, Copper Mountain

Had a great time visiting Copper mountain in the summer. We bought the family pass for the adventure park and had an awesome time. From the coaster ride, go karts, bumper boats, zip line, and scenic lift ride we spent a whole day there and had an awesome time. I will definitely have to come back to Copper mountain someday in the winter, was real impressed with the place!

We are visiting Breckenridge in April so it is still snowy and we are not skiers so we were trying to find things to do with the family. We decided to try to tubing hill at Copper Mountain. We were not disappointed! You go online to reserve your time and you can tell how many are signed up for your session. I think the max number is 85 and the workers told us there were about 55 in our group. That was a nice number. There were a lot more in the session ahead of us and they definitely had longer wait lines. There is a people mover type magic carpet that takes you back up to the top of the hill so you don’t have to climb it yourself. There were 9 people in our family and we were all able to go down 6-7 times. You can go down by yourself or in large groups, you hold onto each other’s feet and the workers basically sling you down the hill. The staff was awesome, very friendly, and professional. I would definitely go again. I was a little nervous it wouldn’t be worth the money but we all felt it was worthwhile. The magic carpet goes a little slow but it allows you time to catch your breath before you get back to the top. I did ask when the best time to go is and was told when it is sunny and the snow has melted enough that a little ice forms. He said fresh powder isn’t as fun.
