With a calendar packed full of special events and activities, World Heritage-listed Blenheim Palace attracts visitors from around the globe. Built between 1705 and 1722, this monumental palace is the official residence of the dukes of Marlborough. Designed in the short-lived English Baroque style, the palace is unique in its combined usage as a family home, mausoleum, and national monument. Also notable as the birthplace and ancestral home of Winston Churchill, the building includes one of the finest art collections in Europe. Guided tours, included in the admission price, are available throughout the day. You can also choose to join a themed tour, which includes an extended series of special-interest lectures and walks though the palace’s historic chambers. Excellent display, well organised with a one way system. Not to congested as a timed entry is in place.

A fantastic place to visit. The house is magnificent and the grounds are spectacular. The staff and volunteers are friendly and informative and there are also plenty of car parks. Would recommend anyone of all ages to visit. We went on the self-guided tour which took us through the magnificent state rooms. The rooms are extremely opulent and full of large tapestries and paintings. There’s grand fireplaces and currently displays of contemporary art. The entrance hall itself is a sight to behold.
