  • A fascinating place to visit to explore some of the hidden local history of the Peak District. The tour takes place by boat, and hard hats are understandably required (especially for the taller traveller) as the ceilings in many places are low, and knocks to the head are likely. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging, and made the experience of traversing the tight confines of the cavern both interesting and diverting, which should be a reassurance to anyone who suffers from claustrophobia. Well worth a visit, though it's advisable to bring waterproof coats and boots.
  • An interesting experience down the flight of stairs, onto the boat and through the narrow tunnels. Not much to see but the tour guide did his best to try and make it interesting for us. The stop over whilst the boats change hands was quite underwhelming. If it was cheaper, I'd have been more impressed but at £17pp, you can spend your money better elsewhere. Just a reminder, this is not for claustrophobic people!
