Create an itinerary including University of Cambridge
Admire architecture, landscaping, and education at its finest at University of Cambridge, the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. The institution's 31 colleges and six schools sit fairly close to one another, but you'll often see students going to and from by bicycle. Of particular note is the Great Court of King's College, which features a sprawling green lawn and 16th-century perpendicular Gothic English architecture, as exemplified by the King's College chapel. The oldest colleges were founded in the 13th century, with the very oldest being Peterhouse, dating from 1284. The Cam River runs through the campus and is traversed by multiple bridges; cross over the Bridge of Sighs at St. John's College and the Mathematical Bridge at Queen's College, and keep your eye out for the resident swans. You are free to wander the grounds, but be aware that some colleges charge an entrance fee and access may be limited during the school term. • We were so happy to just pass by when a group of graduates arrived. The mere respect for tradition is stunning. Beautiful buildings, of course, as well!

  • Best place I ever visit in London. Great architecture and greatest sculpture. This will remains in the history for ever and ever
  • An amazing small University Town built around the Cam River that is a must visit. The rich history and heritage filled in each of its buildings, streets and even walls will make one feel at awe! The city is cute and well kept making the visit enjoyable. Was here only for a short while, but I am sure to come back for a longer tour.
