Home to the world's largest fan vault, King's College Chapel is one of the finest examples of late Perpendicular Gothic English architecture. This chapel to King's College of the University of Cambridge houses some of the finest medieval stained glass in the world, created by Flemish artisans from 1515 to 1531. A glance above the altar reveals a masterpiece: "The Adoration of the Magi," originally painted by Rubens in 1634. The Renaissance rood screen, erected in 1532 by King Henry VIII, creates a striking contrast to the Perpendicular Gothic chapel. This active house of worship is home to the King's College Choir due to its splendid acoustics. Hours differ depending on the college term and special events that may close the doors. Want to attend choral evensong when term re-starts. This is a really really atmospheric event, even if you are not sure about Henry VIII or God.

Breathtaking chapel. Been local for all my life and have recently gone in. Well worth the wait. Beautiful structure. The grounds are quite something as well. Worth a visit in summer to see everything in flower.

One of the oldest colleges in Cambridge with a huge history! You can enter with a ticket to visit the place where it is wonderful. There you can read about its history and admire its magnificent architecture! You must first go if you want to see all the places to be informed if you allow entry all seasons and all hours in advance. There is a period when due to exams or other events you are not allowed to enter everywhere.
