Advertised as the "Friendliest Village in Belize," Hopkins remains a small fishing settlement on a stretch of golden coastline that offers plenty of modern amenities.Venture out of the city with trips to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserve (in Dangriga) and Placencia (Lola Art Studio, Laughing Bird Caye National Park, &more). There's still lots to do: stroll through Glover's Reef Marine Reserve, hike along Outback Trails, and see the vivid underwater world at Mesoamerican Reef (Belize Barrier Reef).
