Belize City — 3 nights

Belize's biggest urban center, Belize City is a culturally diverse seaside destination.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Belize City: The Belize Zoo (in La Democracia) and Altun Ha (in Rock Stone Pond). On the 1st (Wed), spend a relaxing day on the river with a rafting and tubing tour. There's lots more to do: delve into the distant past at Lamanai Archaeological Reserve, appreciate the history behind The Belize Sign Monument, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary.

Hopkins — 2 nights

Advertised as the "Friendliest Village in Belize," Hopkins remains a small fishing settlement on a stretch of golden coastline that offers plenty of modern amenities.
On the 10th (Fri), see Off-Road Tours and then stroll through Glover's Reef Marine Reserve. On your second day here, trek along Outback Trails and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Preserve.
