Royal Air Force (RAF) Museum Cosford, Shifnal

Over 70 iconic aircraft are displayed at Royal Air Force (RAF) Museum Cosford, dedicated to the history of aviation and the Royal Air Force. The museum uses two sites (the other one is in London) to introduce visitors of all ages to internationally important aircraft, housed at this location inside three large hangars. Don’t miss a rare chance to see the world’s oldest Spitfire, part of an extensive Warplanes Collection. The museum also includes the National Cold War Exhibition, opened in 2007 to showcase V bombers and other aircraft used during the Cold War era. The exhibition uses "silo theaters" and a variety of media to depict the key events of those years. The museum also offers special birthday party packages, with private rooms available for rent. • A great place to visit for aeronautical history. Free entrance (pay for parking) and the cafe food is acceptable.  more »
  • London City Centre and from the side you can omit the time when bbadeushada (a local War Museum is also very good) to see a movie I think I've been more than the outright wonder visit air force bases was the display, had a lot of visitors coming here pretty well, even very well and come up with a good live shop, there's not much interest in the United Kingdom offers design product created by making a really good buy, even if you want to sit in a small cockpit inner seupispaieo in the meantime, you can view the Guide by pressing the button Seupispaieo in detail.

  • For those who have partners who are not aviation enthusiasts I recommend a solo trip to this museum so that every single exhibit can be admired, photographed and examined. With the Winter opening hours I managed to cover the whole museum in five and a half pleasurable hours. Amongst many other items I was fascinated by the exhibition of WW2 German guided weapons including the A4 rocket better known as the V2. This was probably my third visit and I hope to enjoy more visits in the future.
  • Great display, loved the cold war stuff that was on show. Some rare and unique planes on show. Staff seemed all really friendly. Free entry! I understand they are unable to charge for entry but i wouldn’t of minded if they did as i thought it was excellent. Ive been to countless aviation museums so i have high expectations of what to expect and i wasn’t disappointed! A strong 5 stars from me
