  • Lovely to stroll around the vast grounds on a sunny day. Great for families but it is so easy to get away from everyone if that is what you wish to do. Well-recommended.  more »
  • Called in last week while me and my wife were off work. It was a lovely sunny day and there were plenty of people about. Plenty of space to roam about. The hall and tramway was unfortunately closed...  more »

  • Took the little one for a walk and we ended up staying a good 4 hours. Beautiful park with lots of places where you can get off the main paths and into the trees. Was able to go on a real bear and fairy hunt in the wooded area which cost nothing and she loved. A little imagination was all it cost and we had the best morning.
  • Absolutely beautiful park and it's massive! Love the Stables Cafe, a bit pricey but the food is good. There's also toilets here as well. Good play area at the Northern end, and one of the car parks is right near it, so handy for parents with young children. Haven't been in Heaton Hall yet. At the lake side there's a new adventure playground which children seem to really love, it's only been open a few weeks. There's some lovely walks here and many dogs of all breeds to be seen, all are well behaved!!! Currently, the fair is here until September 1st, 25 tokens for £20 is quite a bargain, rides for most ages, especially if you have more than 1 child that like different rides. All rides are 1 token with the exception of the Dodgems!! Good links to the park with the tram and buses networks as well as 4 large car parks. Plenty of spaces to bring a picnic and a ball ⚽!! All in all a good day out and free if you do your own thing!!
