The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Sun): make a trip to Stephansplatz, meet the residents at Schönbrunn Zoo, then step into the grandiose world of Schonbrunn Palace, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Cathedral. On the 13th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Prater and then browse the exhibits of Belvedere Palace.
