Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Belongil Beach and Broken Head Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Cape Byron Walking Track and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Go for a jaunt from Byron Bay to Bangalow to see Minyon Falls about 48 minutes away. On the 5th (Fri), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. And it doesn't end there: indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, take some stellar pictures from Broken Head Nature Reserve, admire all the interesting features of The Farm Byron Bay, and kick back and relax at Wategos Beach.

Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Byron Bay trip simple and quick.

Melbourne to Byron Bay is an approximately 5-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Expect a bit warmer temperatures when traveling from Melbourne in June; daily highs in Byron Bay reach 24°C and lows reach 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
