You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
You'll explore and learn at House of Terror Museum and Koller Gallery. Do some cultural sightseeing at Halaszbastya and Matthias Church. Get out of town with these interesting Budapest side-trips: Eger (Minorita Templom, Kovacs Nimrod Winery, & more), Mor (Geszler Family Winery & Csabi Miklos' Cellar) and Tagore Promenade (in Balatonfured). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Andrassy Avenue, test the waters at a local thermal spa, pick up some local products at Central Market Hall, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).

In April in Budapest, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
