You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Get out of town with these interesting Budapest side-trips: Castle Hill (Veszpremi Varhegy) (in Veszprem) and Eger (Bolyki Pinceszet, Eger Castle, &more). There's lots more to do: get a sense of history and politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, take in the views from Szechenyi Lanchid, pause for some photo ops at Heroes' Square, and boost your wellbeing at a local thermal spa.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In August in Budapest, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 18°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
