Popular historic sites such as Zamek Krolewski w Warszawie - Muzeum and Lazienki Krolewskie w Warszawie are in your itinerary. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego and Nowy Swiat. Spend the 30th (Sat) exploring nature at Roztoczanski National Park. One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wawel Royal Castle will appeal to history buffs. Museum-lovers will get to explore Wieliczka Salt Mine and Muzeum Krakowa, oddzial Fabryka Emalia Oskara Schindlera. The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Get a sense of the local culture at Schonbrunn Palace and Belvedere Palace. Appreciate the collections at Imperial Palace (Hofburg) and Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. When in Vienna, make a side trip to see Melk Abbey in Melk, approximately 1h 05 min away. Pack the 14th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Prater. Start off your visit on the 20th (Fri): steep yourself in history at Black Tower, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of the Virgin‘s Immaculate Conception and St. Ignatius, then contemplate the long history of White Unicorn Baroque Apothecary, and finally see the interesting displays at Museum of Religious Art of the Pilsen Diocese.
