One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Wed): examine the collection at Cracow Historical Museum - Old Market Underground Branch, browse the eclectic array of goods at Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wawel Cathedral, then get to know the fascinating history of Krakow's Rynek Glowny Central Square, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. Mary's Basilica. On the 30th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: appreciate the extensive heritage of Planty Park, see the interesting displays at Lost Souls Alley, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Wawel Royal Castle, and finally don't miss a visit to St. Florian's Gate.
