Unofficially dubbed the Capital of the North, Manchester is known for its influence on industry and music, as well as its world-renowned connection to sports.
National Railway Museum and The Manchester Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Your inner history buff will appreciate York Minster and Sizergh Castle. Explore Manchester's surroundings by going to National Trust - Chirk Castle (in Chirk), York (Treasurer's House, York City Walls, &more) and The British Ironwork Centre (in Oswestry).
