Unofficially dubbed the Capital of the North, Manchester is known for its influence on industry and music, as well as its world-renowned connection to sports.
National Railway Museum and Lakeland Motor Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Your inner history buff will appreciate York Minster and Lyme Park. Explore Manchester's surroundings by going to York (Treasurer's House, York City Walls, &more), The British Ironwork Centre (in Oswestry) and National Trust - Chirk Castle (in Chirk).
