You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Bring the kids along to Fisherman's Bastion and House of Terror Museum. Appreciate the collections at Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria) and Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum. Change things up with these side-trips from Budapest: Valley of the Beautiful Women (in Eger) and Priest's Island (Pap-sziget) (in Szentendre). There's much more to do: take a stroll through Vaci Street, witness a stunning natural landmark at Palatinus Strandfürdő, pick up some local products at Central Market Hall, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).

If you are flying in from Thailand, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. June in Budapest sees daily highs of 30°C and lows of 15°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
