You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fisherman's Bastion and Liberty Statue. Get some historical perspective at Matthias Church and Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), learn about winemaking at Faust Wine Cellar, see the interesting displays at Budapest Pinball Museum, and contemplate the long history of Citadel.
