Népliget or People's Park is the biggest public park in Budapest, Hungary. It is located southeast of the city centre, and covers an area of. It was established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the union of Pest, Buda and Óbuda. The park is the site of the Planetarium, which is a laser theatre, and the E-klub, the biggest night club in Budapest.
The park was the site of the 1936 Hungarian Grand Prix, held on roads within the park, as well as a round of the 1963 European Touring Car Challenge season.
South of the park is the Népliget bus station, an international coach station. The Line 3 (North-South line) of the Budapest Metro has a stop there. The tram #1-#1A have three stops along the north-western border of the Népliget.

  • To be fair,this is not about the park. it's about the little slice of hell with the same name. Yes it was around 90%when i was there. But why put all the humanity plus the food outlets underground...  more »
  • Surprisingly a very relaxing park. Close to the bus station bus not advised to be wandering here after the sunset. Pretty spacious  more »

  • The park truly isn't nice. It's actually kinda disgusting. Basically what you would expect from an old communist park. Good place to wait for your bus leaving from the bus station nearby, but there isn't much to do.
  • Nice park in the heart of the city, but still far from the exerience you get at Margaret Island.
