4.1
See a Komodo dragon, lion cub nursery, and diverse plant life at Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, the oldest zoo park in Hungary. Founded in 1866, this zoo is actually one of the oldest in the world. Walk through the park to admire more than 1,000 species of animals. Notice the historical Art Nouveau buildings in this nature preserve, as well as several exhibits of native and exotic plants in the gardens, including the Magical Hill and America Tropicana collections. Spend some time watching the zoo's rhinos, hippopotamuses, bears, primates, and many other creatures that have inhabited the park since its reconstruction after World War II. • An atrocity Zoo. He repeated constantly the motif of the man's Power over the beast. All kinds of horror pictures in short for those who love to really live animals that will save the place.

  • Really enjoyed this zoo. With student discount the entry was only about £7, and my wife and I spent several hours here looking around the various enclosures. The tigers and rhinos were really cool. Some of the animals did seem to have smaller compounds than they would do in a UK zoo, especially the two elephants, but I suppose overall the animals mostly seemed happy. I enjoyed the Japanese botanical garden too, and the place seemed to be very child-friendly also. Very good value for money.
  • Great value for money. It's a huge park with lots of different types of animal. Wasn't expecting much but ended up walking round for hours and it wasn't particularly busy either which is always good. Some of the enclosures look like they're in need of an upgrade. But overall I had a great time and would definitely recommend.
