Perhaps one of the most famous and opulent opera houses in the world, Palais Garnier - Opera National de Paris was the setting for the 1910 novel "The Phantom of the Opera,” by Gaston Leroux. When you approach the façade, look up and you'll see the 7.5-m (25-ft) Beaux Arts statue known as L’Harmonie. Today, the opera house primarily produces ballet productions, which you can attend with advance tickets. Admission to an on-site museum, the Bibliothèque-Musée de l'Opéra de Paris (Paris Opera Library-Museum), is included in unaccompanied tours of the opera house building. Be sure to admire the enormous bronze and crystal chandelier in the auditorium. You can dine in the L'Opéra Restaurant. • Clearly one must love the atmosphere of the Opera: Ballet or lyric (although the latter is diverted to the Opera Bastlle). Go there at least once and savor what Grandeur French means. Better If you book for time looking for good places because, in the boxes, who is in the third row sees Pochetto!!! But a temple of bel canto and artistic performances as very few in the world!

  • Whether outdoors or indoors, the Palais Garnier is one of the many magical symbols of culture, refinement of Paris. To see, to visit if you do not have the chance to attend an opera, there are organized tours. At night the lights so elegantly projected make it easy to imagine the Phantom of the Opera walking around inside this mythical place!
