Miradouro da Lua, Luanda

Admire tricolor karst cliffs with sharp pinnacles overlooking the sea at Miradouro da Lua, a roadside viewpoint offering the perfect chance to admire a moon-like limestone landscape. Eroded by wind and rain, these deep gullies and ravines extending for about 1 km (0.6 mi) provide an excellent photo opportunity and draw both amateur and professional shutterbugs. The impression that you're visiting a lunar landscape is particularly strong at sunset and at dawn so time your visit accordingly. Make Miradouro da Lua a centerpiece of your Luanda vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Luanda trip planner.

  • Good scenery nice, quiet and cozy place is place to be and to visit more often is wonderful good vibe

  • The beauty that the place has is to keep the eyes iphitos for a long time, only contemplating the sculpture naturally made based on erosion. Simply Gorgeous

  • If you are going to Kisama (or some other place south) from Luanda this is a perfect and mandatory stopping point. There is a parking place and the view is the only reason why you should stop there. The rocks all around and below are just moon-like landscape, and the ocean closing the view make it all stunning and awesome. Stop, have a look, enjoy. It's worthwhile.
  • Amazing landscape due to erosion. Contrasting colors. Better at sunset or sunrise
